The conversion kit is intended to transform a fluorescent luminaire into an emergency luminaire. It is composed of a charger-converter module and a watertight high temperature Ni-Cd battery.
When mains power is present through the charger-converter module, the battery is charged and the LED lights up indicating this circumstance. In the absence of mains power, the module starts up the converter which is powered by the battery and the fluorescent lamp continues to light up at a lower level than when mains power is present.

The kit has a bridge, which can be left in place or removed to obtain various autonomies and performances. EMERGENCY MODES Non-permanent mode In this mode the luminaire does not have a ballast, the emergency kit acting as a ballast. The luminaire only starts operating when the mains voltage drops below 70% of the nominal value and the lamp to which it is connected enters. In this mode, all the wattages for one tube can be mounted, both in T8, T5 and compact 4-pin lamps. For 2 tubes, the factory must be consulted for each case. Permanent mode In this mode the luminaire is equipped with a ballast and an emergency kit. The lamps for emergency lighting are permanently powered; when there is mains voltage they are powered by the ballast and when there is a mains failure they are powered by the emergency kit. Combination mode In this mode the luminaire is equipped with a ballast and an emergency kit. The luminaire has 2 or more lamps, at least one of which is powered by the emergency kit and the rest by the ballast. For the models TR4, Compact, Minidelta and Model 1 the model 0EM04 must be requested. In any case, consult compatibility between the models of luminaires and emergencies beforehand.
